Vans Vault “Inca Flower” Pack

The final shoe in the Vans Vault “Inca Flower” Pack is this Era LX. Ironically, it sports the same colorway as the first Sk8-Hi that we saw from this series.

Teal suede appears on the toe and heel areas and is matched by the sole stripe and cord laces. The quarter panel is red suede and shows off the now-familiar “Inca Flower” print in white thread. Look for these at your local retailer now.

Kanye, Amber Rose, + Terry Richardson in Happier Days

Terry Richardson must have been sensing the world’s sadness over the break-up of Kanye and Amber Rose. And also its complete devastation in the resulting don’t tell anyone about the weird shit Kanye does (reportedly) million dollar settlement, she received. So many questions will never be answered. Sigh. So, Terry Richardson brings us a couple of never before seen shots of the previously happy couple in denim and in love. Well, at least licking one another. The rest after the jump.

Favela Art

Dutch artists Jeroen Koolhaas and Dre Urhahn have undertaken one of the most ambitious endeavors seen in today’s art community. Their project “O Morro,” which in Portuguese translates to “the hill” but is meant to refer to “the slum,” aims to transform the barren facades of Brazil’s poorest neighborhoods into inspiring pieces of art. The duo’s goal to turn the entire hillside favela into, as they were quoted, “a vibrant artwork of monumental scale” that the local residents could be proud of has employed the help of community members who received a small salary in return. The result has been a beautiful example of a raio de esperança in the midst of hard times.
